Eelons are eel-like third level Nightmarens and enemies in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.

Character Information[]

Physical Appearance[]

Eelons have a purple head with a huge chin and smile, tiny eyes and two orange antennas on top. They have a long dark purple tail with cyan stripes and many purple fins throughout their body.

Personality[]

Like most of the third level Nightmarens, Eelons are agressive and act like vicious animals. Also, when they see Nightopians, Eelons won't stop chasing them until they eat them.

Abilities[]

Flight

Eelons, like most of the Nightmarens, are capable of flying.

Electric Charges

Eelons can release electric charges from their tails.

History[]

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams[]

Eelons can be found in both Delight City and Memory Forest. When they see NiGHTS, the Eelons will try to get on their way while they release electric charges from their tail. If NiGHTS is hit, they will get hurt and lose five seconds from the timer.

In Delight City's fourth mission, the Eelons will try to attack Will as he tries to guide Helen through the level. Will can protect himself by tossing Blue Chips at them.

In Memory Forest's second mission, the Eelons will try to attack Helen as she tries to find NiGHTS. Helen can protect herself by tossing Blue Chips at them.

Defeating an Eelon will add 100 points for the player's score.

The Eelon Mepians head is almost identical to Eelon's, having a huge chin and smile, but bigger eyes. On the top of their head, they have two Eelon fins and a regular Nightopian halo. Their torso is purple on top and dark purple on the bottom. They have dark purple arms and purple fin-like hands and feet.

Descriptions and Profiles[]

English bio (Journey of Dreams)[]

"These slithery eels try to shock you with an electric charge, but they can't maintain that charge for more than a few seconds at a time. When they're recharging, they're safe to touch – or Touch-dash or Touch-loop! You can also defeat them by throwing Blue Chips at their heads, whether or not they're electrically charged."[1]

Trivia[]

  • Eelons' behavior is similar to Gaos' from NiGHTS into Dreams, as both are third level Nightmarens who release electric charges.
  • Eelon's name could be a combination of the words "Eel" and "Ion" or "Eel" and "Neon".
